1st try at a major photo manipulation...

As mentioned in previous post one of my main focuses this semester is to focus on representations skills (traditional hand graphics and digital). Tonight I tried my hand at my first major photo manipulation. The original image was of my son standing pointing at a rock. I had the idea of creating some kind of imaginary world on its surface and set out from there. The following screen shots represent the progress. Jumping in a just working through something like this is a bit overwhelming, but surely the best way to learn the tips and tricks that I practice in tutorials. I have a lot to learn still but really enjoyed working towards an unknown final image that reveals itself. Enjoy! 3.5 hrs time.
